I am a maker of art.

I am a painter and a professor of art, among many other things. I am empowered by elements of feminism, history, and the suburban landscape. My work explores travel, space and multifaceted worlds of beauty, romance, structure, congestion and complexity. I like lines, because they are honest, shapes because they are organic, space for its emptiness, and color for its vitality. I am for art that is real, one that represents loss and presence. I am for art that is persistent, moving, timeless, and thought provoking.

I've been making art my whole life in Knoxville, TN. My illustrations are vintage-inspired, and often include pop culture, local landscapes, and social justice. I also love drawing portraits from life. Almost every piece starts with a simple ink drawing on paper. Illustration is a way for me to show that life is beautiful and strange through the small details.

Murals, art, live art

I've been painting large-scale murals in the Knoxville area for the last 2 1/2 years since I went out on my own. From bars, restaurants, schools, city buildings and park walls, I have worked with numerous local businesses by visually and physically interpreting their ideas to help their business grow and become eye-catching. I do not plan to stop any time soon and hope to create some sort of art movement in this city which is already happening.

Hand lettered art, originals and prints. Custom Gifts and Home Decor.

I create hand-lettered works of art to add a touch of beauty and inspiration into your home. For as long as I can remember, I have loved letterforms — and how the style of the letters speak as much as the words they depict. I was introduced to calligraphy in middle school when I discovered my mom’s old fountain pen, and she taught me how to make fancy letters for the first time. My fascination with letters continued through high school and then college, where I got my BA in studio art. I learned watercolor brush lettering techniques in 2015, and now I'm putting brush to paper to write my favorite quotes with some fancy flair!

Woven and textile art and oil paintings

While traveling in Morocco I was inspired by its ancient textile traditions. I learned to sew while there and have since taught myself to weave on a variety of looms, some custom made. My works are sold as wall hangings, blankets, rugs, or made-to-order commissions. All are composed of natural fibers. On my site I also sell handmade Moroccan goods including textile, leather, and ceramics sourced from responsible organizations.
