Bandsaw boxes & handmade journals
I create decorative boxes using a bandsaw and carving gouges. The box form is sketched and cut from a block of wood, then assembled. Hand carvings create a whimsical and unique design on the surface that play with light. The piece is finished with milk paint and/or shellac (all natural products). I also make handmade books/journals bound using coptic stitching, decorative papers, or faux leather. Both the boxes and books are perfect additions to a bookshelf, for display as handmade art, to store small treasures or thoughts.
