When people ask what kind of artist I am, because I’m a ceramicist, writer, muralist, oil and mixed media painter, and musician, I tell them, “I’m a colourist.” It’s a blanket statement meant to simplify what I do from a place of pure compulsion rather than discipline. The submission photo reflects my love for utilitarian art with a focus on colour over form.
