Take your creative vision to the next level with this hands-on workshop led by Casey Fox from the Arts & Culture Alliance. This in-depth session is designed for makers, artists, and creatives who are looking to secure funding to grow their business, or expand their creative practice.

Through practical guidance and real-world examples, you’ll learn how to navigate the grant-writing process from start to finish. Discover how to identify the right funding opportunities, craft a compelling proposal, and clearly communicate the value and impact of your work. Casey will share insider tips on what funders look for, how to tell a persuasive story, and common mistakes to avoid.

Whether you’re applying for your first grant or looking to refine your approach, this interactive workshop will provide you with the knowledge and confidence to turn your ideas into successfully funded projects. 

ABOUT CASEY:

Casey Fox is Director of Impact and Development at the Arts and Culture Alliance of Greater Knoxville. She came to the ACA from the Big Ears Festival, where she planned, organized, and directed the organization’s fundraising activities and VIP festival experiences. Prior to Big Ears, she served as Director of Advancement for the University of Tennessee Libraries and Library Fund Development Manager at the Knox County Public Library. In 2016 she was managing director for the Knoxville Stomp Festival of Lost Music.

Fox is the 2024 YWCA Tribute to Women Arts and Culture honoree and was member of the Knoxville 40 Under 40 class of 2017. She has previously served as chair of the Knoxville History Project board of directors and as a Knoxville Historic Zoning commissioner, and she is a grant review panelist for the National Endowment for the Arts and the Tennessee Arts Commission. She has a BA in history from Tennessee Tech and an MLIS from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
