Hi, I’m Grace, the stained glass artist!! I sell my art at a few local stores in Knoxville, do quarterly craft shows, and run an Etsy shop and website. My Stained Glass Apprenticeship Stained glass is a tradition passed down through generations in my family, and I apprenticed with my grandmother for over a decade to learn the intricacies of the craft. I am drawn to the way stained glass is created by first breaking a sheet of glass and then piecing it back together into a stronger and more beautiful creation. My Not-Entirely-Wasted Grad Degree Years spent studying plant growth in grad school shaped the way I observe form, structure, and patterns in the natural world. This now guides my artistic process, in which glass becomes a sculptural medium for translating the natural (and sometimes fantasy) world into light and color. My Wish For My Work Through each glass piece, I invite viewers to slow down and notice the subtle interplay between light, glass, and living and fantastical forms.
