Maker Space Scholarship Program

Maker Space Scholarship Overview

Sponsored Access to a Maker Space + KEC Business Education Courses

Applications for the 2027 -28 cohort will open in April 2027.

The Maker Space Scholarship Program is designed to remove financial barriers for local makers who need access to professional workspace. Through this program, selected makers will receive access to a participating local maker space,  education classes at the Knoxville Entrepreneur Center and a business growth mentor.
This initiative is led by The Maker City, supported by Downtown Knoxville, Visit Knoxville and other sponsors. It is intended to strengthen Knoxville’s maker ecosystem by connecting emerging makers with the tools, spaces, and creative communities that help them grow.
