I make original artwork made from coffee filters

My professional background is in graphic design and I earned a BFA in Fine Arts at East Tennessee State University. I have been working in the field for the last 16 years. I have always loved my job as a graphic designer but I have always felt compelled to create bolder work in my free time. I love the freedom to express new ideas and the opportunity to work with tools and components that may be a bit out of the box. During quarantine of 2020 I began experimenting with coffee filters while working on a craft with my 2 daughters. That led to many iterations of what the possibilities of coffee filter art could be. Bringing together my love of flowers and color has been so enjoyable and I am always looking forward to what the next piece will unfold.
