The Maker Experience at the dogwood arts festival
Amongst the many amazing things going on during the festival, The Maker City and Knox Makers are partnering with Dogwood Arts to create The Maker Experience featuring activations, workshops and demonstrations.
Experience the vibrant energy of maker demos and workshops amidst the backdrop of the Dogwood Arts Festival. Among a tapestry of 100 fine art vendors, live music, entertainment, children's activities, and local food & beverage options, immerse yourself in the creative essence of this renowned cultural event established in 1961 in Knoxville!
Delight in the opportunity to peek into the creative realms of each maker, witnessing their craft firsthand.
Demos are complimentary for all festival attendees, offering an enriching experience for all. However, spaces for workshops are limited, ensuring an intimate setting for participants, with a fee of $10 per person. There are currently four workshops that still have tickets available so get yours today!

Maker demonstrations will continue throughout the weekend and showcase techniques and expertise from our local makers. From intricate woodworking to delicate pottery, witness the magic of creation firsthand. Demonstrations are free to all festival goers.
The Maker Experience will also host our friends from Remake Learning Days & TCAT Knoxville as they do pop-up activities. From 1:00-2:30 on Saturday they will be hosting a free 'make and take' activity. Participants will be able to drop in and participate in a variety of hands-on activities led by TCAT students, faculty, or staff. Students of all ages will be able to learn about and participate in fun, creative, and engaging STEAM education activities they can keep and take home!
Outside of the Saturday activities, TCAT will be present to share information with guests about TCAT and the Remake Learning Days Festival coming up in May, as well as distribute 'take and make' kits to create a fun craft at home.
