The Maker City Summit 2022: Lucky Number Seven

Luck has little to do with it.

It's months of planning, years of feedback, and an unbridled enthusiasm for our creative community that makes up The Maker City Summit. That, and makers.

Makers, makers, and more makers – displayed in the curio, featured through the food, showcased on the stage, and mingling all through Maker Exchange.

The Maker City Summit’s 7th annual event is incorporating 30 local and national speakers from a variety of fields to provide three days of maker business education, insight, and inspiration. Featured food vendors include members of Real Good Kitchen, Point B, Girl’s Gotta Eat Good, Towns Toffee, and Frog Juice Kombucha. There will be activities, networking, lounging, connecting, learning, and all-around fun!

Hosted in a space created to discover and celebrate makers, all three days of The Maker City Summit will be held in the newly opened Maker Exchange, located in World's Fair Park at the Marriott Knoxville & Tennessean Hotels.

Summit Committee Chair, Jasmine Newton of Javon Renée Portraits, says “this year’s Summit Committee is working hard to create an event that is inspiring and fun; an event to connect makers with each other and to provide tangible takeaways that can be implemented into their business and take their work further”

Friday, September 16th is an evening Siorée to start a weekend of connection.

Saturday and Sunday are jam-packed with speakers, panelists, and break-out sessions designed to inform and transform.

Keynote Speakers, Andy J Pizza of Creative Pep Talk, and Allie Mounce and Clare Freeman of Pretty Useful Co. will be joining an influential group of regional and local speakers.
