TN Clay
I love creating pieces centered around our town and state, but I get inspiration from just about everywhere. I cut the clay, add designs, then bake, sand, wash, buff, and add hardware to create each piece. All of which is usually done when my two small children are asleep and is my peaceful creative time.

Bringing light into the world through glass art makes me happy. It is also challenging as you go about cutting and gluing pieces together one by one to form a beautiful mosaic. Sometimes I have to unglue and glue to just the right spot to satisfy my eye. I began working with a fine arts mosaicist in Minneapolis after retiring as an educator. I am self-taught and continue to learn and practice with other artists ; my latest being from Scotland.

The simplicity of botanicals allows my pieces to resonate with people from diverse backgrounds but the nature of the changing seasons allows me to create jewelry that is timely and suitable for the season.
