The Art of the Pivot
Please welcome…Chris McAdoo!
On September 12 + 13, The Maker City Summit will bring you experts to help you navigate business in 2020 like the rockstar you are.
We like to think we’re full of surprises. (Or maybe that’s a fun way of saying that, just like you, we’re always pivoting and adapting in this day and age.)
True to our new world of moves and changes, we’re absolutely thrilled to announce that Chris McAdoo will be joining the Saturday Summit lineup at 3PM. In his talk, “The Art of the Pivot," Chris will dig into what drives personal and professional decisions, and how to align those decisions with your values – pandemic and yellow-jacket attacks be damned!
Chris McAdoo is a self-motivated artist, business owner, and creative professional based in Knoxville. He's spent the last twenty years developing a unique perspective on leadership and business - centered on creative thinking, personal and professional development, and a desire to create value. He is a master at finding the right tactics to match your intention. Also...following a near-death experience and career change, he is looking forward to making the next twenty years even more intentionally creative, purpose-driven, and fulfilling. This is a “don’t miss” interactive session!
Chris will anchor the Summit with three other keynote speakers.
Van Tucker, Interim CEO of Launch TN and former CEO of the Nashville Fashion Alliance, will kick off the event with “Brandology: The Art and Science of Branding.”
Most people believe their brand is a look, a slogan, a logo, or a phrase, but great branding tells the right story to the right audience, in such a way that they become raving fans and your least expensive marketing tool. She’ll explore the phases of branding, and the sales funnel, as well as various marketing channels -- and how to make choices that are consistent with your brand.
Certified Confidence Coach Regina Bonds will offer “The Confidence Formula,” familiar to her clients around the world as the way to help you recognize your value, find your voice, and clarify your path. Many people experience a sense of shame that stands in the way of confidence. When you can speak out, you become free. She’ll explain the way out of the insecurity spiral and onto the road that takes you where you want to be.
The Summit concludes with Stephen Brown, co-founder of Glitterville. A former costume designer for television and film in New York City, Brown has built an international brand focused on bringing joy to the everyday.
The title of his talk – “Make Every Day a Holiday” – is also Glitterville’s tagline. Why celebrate life only a couple of times a year, when you can ‘make’ that same joy 365 days a year? He will share comparisons of life to his favorite crafting materials, glitter and glue. “Know when to sparkle -- and what to do when you’re stuck!”
