I am passionate about the outdoors and paint botanicals, landscapes and riverscapes while playing with color, shape and abstraction. My most recent paintings are inspired by hiking and biking in Knoxville Urban Wilderness Areas. My artwork often starts with organic imagery connected to nature but, as each piece develops, I allow myself to stray from my initial ideas to develop new connections and insights.
