Loci Robotics

BIG 3D printers and BIG 3D prints.

Loci Robotics was founded by veterans of the large scale additive industry, with broad experience in automotive, aerospace, and academia. We leverage a combined experience of over 30 years and have worked with most large scale 3D printers on the US market. Originally formed as a consultancy to the market, our search for an ideal polymer printer led us to develop our own. We designed the system we wanted, and we think you will like it too! Founded in 2021, Knoxville, TN.

Mixed media sculpture using paints, clays, and materials foraged from the woods of East Tennessee

Using traditional materials alongside sticks, leaves, and fungi found in the woods of East TN, I create sculptures and decor that reflect my taste for whimsy and love of the place I call home. With a particular focus on the weird and fantastical, my works include octopus/snowman hybrids, spindly-armed pumpkins with toothy grins, and wind chimes comprised of all sorts of bits and baubles. My sculptures make great conversation pieces and fit right into "weird Appalachia" aesthetic.

Sculptural earrings and goods, and illustrations

During the pandemic, I graduated UT with a degree in graphic design. Graduating into an uncertain job market I started Foolish Designs. I started experimenting and truly just make whatever I have fun making. I began experimenting with polymer clay making sculptural earrings and knick-knacks. I have also started to sell some of my print and illustrative designs.

Fine Art, Site Specific Installation

I joined the Knoxville community in August of 2019 to begin a year long stint as Artist in Residence at Mighty Mud ceramic studio. Coming all the way from Montana, I love to travel to create my place inspired sculptural work. Social, cultural, and physical landscape give ideas to create mixed media and site inspired installation.

Metal Sculpture, Retail Display, Lighting, Merchandising Fixtures, Architectural Signs & More.

Bird on the Wire Studios is a creative manufacturing facility in East Knoxville, TN whose projects range from residential interior redesign to retail design and build-out, to the design and manufacturing of large-scale corporate sculpture, signage, lighting, and merchandising elements.

We work with architects to refine, collaborate on, and execute their designer’s vision for new commercial build-outs and re-builds while focusing on the digital brand architecture and voice to ensure all tangible, branded elements, both interior and exterior, are created beautifully, built to last, and ensure brand recognition.

We work with interior designers and architects to re-imagine residential spaces and create the perfect pieces to represent our shared vision while illustrating the personality of the homeowner.

We work with small business owners, NPO’s, and corporate clients to breathe phsyical life into their brands by designing and manufacturing signage, branded sculptural elements, and event spaces.

Pretentious Glass Co.

PG Logo.png

PBGC originated from a small drinking club at the Mellwood Arts Center in Louisville, KY. Each friday afternoon, we would take off work early to sit in the courtyard and drink great craft beer. After a couple too many (all good ideas start this way, right?) the club decided that I should make beer glasses for everyone. I designed the Hoppy Beer glass and gave each member a customized version of that glass. After making that first glass, I started to notice a lack of unique beer glasses for craft beer. It was just such an obvious problem that it was invisible...hiding out in the open. I started the Pretentious Beer Glass Company as a remedy for that problem, and spent over 6 months making, testing, and refining designs that highlight different styles.
