Originally founded upon a passion for honeybees and a joke at a restaurant, RatherBeeInNC is a Knoxville-based illustration studio which specializes in creating nature inspired items that people of all ages can enjoy. Our designs take inspiration from the people and places we encounter in our daily lives, and we hope to pass onto others the same love of life and adventure we have anytime they see our work.
We're The High Score. We design, build and repair arcade machines here in East Tennessee. We also create video game inspired merch, like t-shirts, hats, button sets, koozies, and greeting cards.
Gay Bryant is an artist, painter, and printmaker who teaches regionally and resides in Knoxville, Tennessee. She has worked as a studio artist for the last 30 years and has been developing her art since grade school. A deep appreciation of nature, architecture, and events of everyday life are the driving forces in her work. Craftsmanship and traditional skills are used to depict the rich culture and landscape of eastern Tennessee. Woodcuts, linoleum block, etchings, and collagraphs make up her printmaking and her painting is done in watercolor or acrylic.
