Originally founded upon a passion for honeybees and a joke at a restaurant, RatherBeeInNC is a Knoxville-based illustration studio which specializes in creating nature inspired items that people of all ages can enjoy. Knox Paper Scissors is a illustration + paper goods brand based out of Knoxville, Tennessee. We create illustrated paper goods that people can use to help express words of love, encouragement, hope, and happiness. We believe in the importance of a hand-written note. We also take pride in our hometown and create things personal to people who are local to Knoxville.
My paintings are colorful abstract line art pieces which incorporate elements from my Turkish heritage to highlight the beauty of Middle Eastern cultures and the experiences of being a middle eastern woman in the United States. I usually start with a concept- the classic middle eastern nose that has been a source of insecurity for me and many other women around the world, the powerful evil eye, graceful butterflies- and then I build my line art around the balance of the chosen motifs. Once I establish a color pallet to match the intended feeling of the piece, I start painting! I finish all of my paintings with gold accents to make them come to life.
I'm a multimedia artist working in Knoxville! My prints and polymer clay work are inspired by bright colors and vintage designs. This is my space to play and experiment with things I didn't have time for in art school, and I love being able to share them!
I love a good inviting scent in a home whether coming from the kitchen after cooking a meal or fresh, fruity or clean coming from a candle. I started making my own candles about 8 years ago and after lots and lots of testing, learning, reading, researching, trial and error and more I decided to create a brand and that is how my small business started. Originally in the music and touring business, everything got shut down for us March 12, 2020 with no immediate end in site. This business is something we always dreamed of doing, but never had the time in between a very busy touring schedule. The Lord provided us an opportunity and Wheat's woodworks was started on a whim and a prayer. Life has been filed with more family time than ever before, and the ability to hand craft some beautiful wood creations and furniture that we are more than proud of.
Little Mountain flower farm focuses on growing high quality cut flowers for local markets, events, and delivered arrangements to Knoxville and the surrounding areas. All of our flowers are grown chemical-free, using soil-friendly, regenerative, farming methods.
Design work is inspired by what we have growing on the farm each season, as well as the mountains that surround us. We often incorporate wild elements in our designs, inspired from Appalachia. Every stem we use wild or otherwise is grown on our farm in Maryville. This allows us to minimize our carbon footprint and create florals that are truly unique to our community.
Goodnight Squirrel is Tiffani Mensch, artist, animal lover, and squirrel enthusiast living in Knoxville, Tennessee. Her favorite thing is painting watercolor pet portraits and other custom art that makes people smile. All furry, feathery, and scaly friends are welcome!
Holly Rainey is a Knoxville-based photographer & Marketing Director for a variety of local businesses. Holly is a part of the League of Scruffy Photographers and specializes in Street & Portrait Photography. She is a also a contributor to the 8th of August documentary project in Knoxville, Newport & Greeneville, Tennessee and published a book in collaboration with Black in Appalachia & East Tennessee PBS.
Prior to venturing out on my own, I gained seven years of professional experience working as a graphic designer in the power sports industry and for the Department of Defense. During that time, I had the opportunity to work on projects for Polaris, the Minnesota Vikings, and multiple X Games athletes.
I like to work within many different areas of design: logo design, branding, marketing materials, ad campaigns, publication layout, social media graphics, t-shirt design, book covers, album art, motion graphics, photo collage, video editing, and Squarespace website design. In general, I just like making things that look cool.
A modern calligrapher with an appreciation for the traditional art, Brittany is passionate about the beauty that can be created with letters and words. With every delicate stroke and graceful flourish, she uses a variety of mediums to bring your vision to life.

Hi! I’m Lindsey. Owner and creator of Signed by LS in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. I’m the one behind the power tools, the paint pens and the creative mindset. I own all the tools. I cut, paint, stain, and hand-letter all my signs free handed (non stencil, no vinyl). I even wood burn! Since I was a little girl, I’ve always had a passion for creating. I stumbled upon trying out woodworking with my dad in late 2017, and have loved it ever since. I’m always finding another tool to join my collection, and forever finding new ways to put my artistic talent to work. No two signs/designs are the same. And there’s always something wonderful about authentic, real wood art that will last for years.
I love working with people to provide them with quality images they can use to make a difference in their business, whether it's headshots, product imagery, or interior shots of their unique working space. Visual story telling is something I'm very passionate about, so when I get to do that with a purpose behind it, it brings so much joy and life to me as a photographer.
