Amanda Scribbles

Watercolor Home Paintings, Architectural Paintings

My Name is Amanda and I live in Knoxville. I have always enjoyed being creative and working with my hands. More recently, I have been working on watercolor home paintings. I made one as a gift and quickly found others were interested in them! I love giving personalized, sentimental gifts for my own friends and family so it makes me happy to be able to provide this service to others.

High-Quality Wood Furniture and Decor

I make high-quality wood furniture and home decor items. I have a workshop just outside of downtown where we create commercial and residential items to include dining furniture, coffee tables, end tables, barn doors and beds. We carve many of our items on a CNC machine, then hand-cut to assemble each piece.

Jessica Burleson Art

Paintings exploring the exploitation of femininity and nature

Jessica is a Panamanian-American artist that found her first love of art within Panamanian culture & nature. Influenced by the abundant flora and fauna found in the Panama Rainforests, her creations find a connection with in femininity and nature. Delicate feminine elements of the traditional handmade headdresses & garments worn in Panamanian folk dancing can also be found in her work.

The consumption of divine femininity, nature & art is her inspiration in creating. Conceptually exploring the exploitation of femininity & nature; thus injecting and stripping sanctity and power. Her works are both material and delicate with savory textures. Composing impossibly thick, icing like, touch worthy feminine floral elements. A visual delicacy you can only hope to resist the temptation to touch.

Tea towels, napkins, pillows, and more

I love to find and design fabric to make you smile. My business evolved from making face masks for donations at the beginning of the pandemic and has evolved to making reversible cloth napkins, fabric coasters, pillows, tea towels, and more than 1,000 face masks. I’m a single mom and have been grateful to be able to work from home while my daughter attends virtual school this year.

Workshops, antique/ furniture restoration, custom painting, vintage finds, hand painted cabinets

Nest is a custom painting and furniture restoration business specializing in hand painted cabinetry, heirloom restoration, and curated antiques and vintage finds.

I left an unsafe and failing marriage in 2018 as the primary caregiver to three boys ages 8, 6, and 13 months, turning my hobby of painting into my family’s sole source of income. In the last four years, and with the acquisition of my first brick and mortar location, Nest on Sevier (located at 820 Sevier Ave.) Nest has grown into a lifestyle brand enabling me to parlay my passions into SoKno centric candle designs, a custom jewelry line, and a collaborative business endeavor for several other female owned small businesses, while still offering my painting and restoration services.

Ensemble Gardens

Innovative floral designer growing local, specialty cut flowers at Ensemble Gardens in East Tennessee.

You know that feeling you get when you give a loved one flowers? Its an irresistible feeling of passing along encouragement and support. Its such a fun feeling! Since I am always drawn to the outdoors (who can resist in East Tennessee? Ok- I won't ask this question in August!), I combine my love of beauty, nature, and creativity into an Urban Flower Farm: Ensemble Gardens. My vision is to maximize urban yard spaces to create a network of locally grown flowers here in East Tennessee. More blooms= more gifting= more encouragement and building up community. :)
