I'm Paige Muirhead, artist and illustrator of Lyn Paige Art. I am inspired by whimsical antiques and Victorian folk art. Through illustration and surface pattern , I focus on creating work with vibrant color palettes that showcase my love for pop-culture, botany, and regional characteristics.

During the pandemic, I graduated UT with a degree in graphic design. Graduating into an uncertain job market I started Foolish Designs. I started experimenting and truly just make whatever I have fun making. I began experimenting with polymer clay making sculptural earrings and knick-knacks. I have also started to sell some of my print and illustrative designs.
I have always loved drawing and painting and telling stories. During the last several years dealing with progressive health issues, art has become my safe haven. A way to express my soul and to enjoy the simple act of making something beautiful and unique even when I can't control the rest of life.
I love making brightly colored art that teaches lessons. I have turned my art into note cards with music lessons, science concepts... and a lot of cats and dogs. A large amount of my work supports music lessons, including books to inspire practicing. I also make piano, violin, cello and guitar shaped purses. my work is in the Nashvile and San Francisco Symphony gift shops...
My work explores our relationship with other living creatures as we become further removed from the natural world. I primarily create detailed prints using multiple printmaking processes, such as hand-engraving on copper, monotype, and wood engraving. More recently, I've been also creating large weavings from salvaged plastic, experimenting with clay, and mural work. Through my work, I share the wild around us and consider our everyday actions that affect it directly or indirectly. My work aims to evoke a renewal of attentiveness, conversation, and respect for other living beings.
We make coasters of our photography and designs. Coasters are made on a ceramic tile and sealed with an epoxy resin, making them heat and water resistant. We also have cards, prints and magnets as well.
Origami Day exists to bring balance to a busy life. For many of us, work is a necessity, but life is the priority. After years of being a workaholic, I learned the way to real work-life balance and now share that with others. The key is a time management system I created to help anyone be present in life while still being productive.

My paintings are colorful abstract line art pieces which incorporate elements from my Turkish heritage to highlight the beauty of Middle Eastern cultures and the experiences of being a middle eastern woman in the United States. I usually start with a concept- the classic middle eastern nose that has been a source of insecurity for me and many other women around the world, the powerful evil eye, graceful butterflies- and then I build my line art around the balance of the chosen motifs. Once I establish a color pallet to match the intended feeling of the piece, I start painting! I finish all of my paintings with gold accents to make them come to life.

I enjoy drawing both in my sketchbook and on my iPad using Procreate. I think it’s great to be able to easily find reference photos and drop them into Procreate, just find an idea and start drawing. I also love the texture of drawing in my sketchbook.

Life is messy and ugly and can be oh so gray. I started creating art as a way to find some calm in order to celebrate and be thankful for everything in my life. I found a great love affair with color. When you surround yourself with things that make you smile, you have more happy moments.
