Derrick Freeman is a self-taught artist diagnosed with Autism, a neurodevelopmental disorder characterized by impaired verbal and non-verbal communication. By age two, he was completely non-verbal and was unable to learn and use language like most children his age. By age three, art became his only form of communication. He learned to express his perceptions of life and everyday living through his drawings and artwork. Each piece of art tells the story of his journey with Autism. Derrick has exhibited his artwork at the Tennessee Governor’s Mansion, Vanderbilt University, Lipscomb University, the Tennessee Disability Mega Conference and the Frist Museum of Art. Most recently, he was the featured artist at Ernie Els Center for Excellence in Jupiter, Florida. In addition, he has been the recipient of several awards for his community advocacy work for the Autism community including: the Ann & Steve Bailey Artist Grant, the Arc of the Mid-South’s Outstanding Artist and Performer Award and the Future Horizons Inc’s Dr. Temple Grandin Award for Outstanding Success.

Jessica is a Panamanian-American artist that found her first love of art within Panamanian culture & nature. Influenced by the abundant flora and fauna found in the Panama Rainforests, her creations find a connection with in femininity and nature. Delicate feminine elements of the traditional handmade headdresses & garments worn in Panamanian folk dancing can also be found in her work.
The consumption of divine femininity, nature & art is her inspiration in creating. Conceptually exploring the exploitation of femininity & nature; thus injecting and stripping sanctity and power. Her works are both material and delicate with savory textures. Composing impossibly thick, icing like, touch worthy feminine floral elements. A visual delicacy you can only hope to resist the temptation to touch.

Born and raised in Sevierville, Tennessee and moved to Knoxville about 4 years ago and LOVE being here. I was given a $35 gift card and set out to build a business out if it. So I went to a craft store and purchased a jewelry making kit and 2 years later I have turned it into my passion and my job. I just love making things that make people happy. Whether it's earrings to make a woman feel more confident in a pair of new earrings or the faces of someone getting a personalized cross stitch gift.
I create custom signs for all surfaces and purposes with a specialty in high quality hand painted signs. Since 2015, I've worked with clients on a wide range of projects from designing and fabricating original branding for them to enlarging preexisting logos for placement on the sides of buildings. From prominent marquee features to temporary seasonal window splash to old sign restoration, my work runs the gamut from big and small with the common thread running through all them being the attention to detail and first class materials.
I create sculptural paintings which engage with science and mathematics. I was born and raised in Knoxville. I attended MTSU for my BFA (painting and sculpture) and SCAD in Savannah, GA for my MFA in Painting. I am represented in Knoxville by Pivot Point Gallery. Please also visit me in my studio in the Broadway Studios & Gallery complex! Contact me through my website or any of the other links provided to arrange a time to meet me there.
My name is Ashley, and I use creative photography to declare my client's beauty and strength. I believe every human is art and I believe they have a story to tell. It is my most sincere desire to walk alongside my clients and create imagery that makes the invisible of their heart, visible. You deserve images that artfully celebrate your truest self!
I began Metalsmithing in 2014 after taking a class at University of Vermont. I worked as an apprentice under my teacher shortly following and my primarily focus was on wax casting and carving. When I moved to Portland, Oregon in late 2015 I built a home studio and began shifting my focus toward fabrication and stone setting. I love making big, bold statement jewelry reminiscent of traditional southwest design but with an Art Deco flair.
Using traditional materials alongside sticks, leaves, and fungi found in the woods of East TN, I create sculptures and decor that reflect my taste for whimsy and love of the place I call home. With a particular focus on the weird and fantastical, my works include octopus/snowman hybrids, spindly-armed pumpkins with toothy grins, and wind chimes comprised of all sorts of bits and baubles. My sculptures make great conversation pieces and fit right into "weird Appalachia" aesthetic.
