Pretty Little Purse

Leather Purses and Accessories

The journey of Pretty Little Purse originated with 2 sisters and our lifetime love of purses and leather goods. We initially created unique little leather purse pendants and have since expanded into occasion purses of different sizes. Also available are various accessories including leather infused jewelry. Each creation is inspired by all of God's incredible handiwork displayed in the flowers, leaves and vines, dragonflies and butterflies of field and forest. Every piece is a one-of-a-kind, completely handmade wearable work of art. Our work has been featured in Belle Armoire and Haute Handbags magazines.

Baad Hatter felt hats and fiber art

Felted wool hats, clothing, pet replicas, and wall art

I use the ancient technique of felting wool fiber to create wearable artwork in the form of hats and clothing. I also create wall art from wool, such as landscapes and portraits. I create custom 3D pet replicas and memorials through the process of needle felting. I do teach classes on request.

Felt & bead garlands, kitchen linens and pillows

My mantra is, “Do one creative thing every day”. I string gorgeous 5-foot long garlands with handmade felt swirls and colorful beads - I got the idea from a library book years ago and fell in love! These pops of joyful color go on mantles, Christmas trees, tablescapes, pillars, banisters, windowsills, desks, chandeliers and curtain rods - people hang them EVERYWHERE! When I need a change of creative scenery, I set aside my bead tray and get out the sewing machine to make aprons, napkins, tea towels, bedding, shower curtains and pillows that rhyme with my crisp, clean, happy aesthetic. I love it all.

Raeus Jae

Knitted & Woven Wearable Art

Raeus Jae Cannon is a fiber artist using knitting and pin loom weaving to create one-of-a-kind wearable art pieces. Raeus discovered her mother’s 1930’s pin loom at age seven and quickly was hooked on the little loom that kept her occupied for hours. However, the loom was set aside for more than 40 years until after Raeus was introduced to knitting. Raeus focuses on the back of a garment that’s so often ignored. She wants people to compliment the wearer from the front saying: “you look wonderful today!” from the back she wants them to hear: “your coat/sweater is beautiful!”

Wearable art and accessories

At craft shows, I tell people that crocheting is my stress relief; to which they reply "You must be very stressed!" I love creating - whether it's crocheting unique wearable art and accessories, up-cycling wool sweaters into stuffed animals, or reusing vintage doilies to make jackets and vests. I love texture and all my designs have a modern appeal with roots in the past.

Handbags and paintings

My hand-printed bags are structured layers and patterns that were created to be carried around downtown for weekend strolls, but set a distinctive statement in the office that is fresh and unique. Growing up and living in the Appalachian, Blue Ridge valley and inspired by Japanese culture, my designs are simple, fluid, and mindful.

Clothing & Accessories

I hand dye with natural and conventional dyes, cut & sew, or machine knit all of the clothing and accessories I offer. I am currently working to finish building my studio in Maryville where I hope to add fabric printing to my repertoire. I studied Textile Design at RISD and lean toward sculpture and performance art. In my studio I focus on showy stage pieces for performers or those that dare to stand out and express themselves in the crowd. Texture, color, and aesthetics are my specialty.
